As mentioned earlier they get the general level-based equipment bonus for their weapons rather than weapon mastery-based, which means you also don't have to level weapon mastery. Extra honorable mention goes to flora beast for being the best looking monster type :)īest thing about monsters in general IMO is that you don't have to level them, you can just capture new ones.
Honorable mentions go to moths and Tink for having high, flying-type movement, marionettes for being immune to status, and holy dragons for being immune to most skills (and moving through enemies). Wood golems are notorious for their HP regeneration and generally high stats, and rifle demons, zombie dragons and enteis are similarly beefy.
Seriously though (even if Gig really is amazing), the monsters that get direct damage boosts are succubus and saber kitty.
